Why We’re Different
Who is Eagle County Flooring?
Eagle County Flooring which services homes in Vail, Avon, Beavercreek, Eagle, Gypsum and more is owned and operated by Kirk Gruber. Kirk has lived in the Vail Valley for more than ten years and he has worked as a flooring consultant and project manager. Kirk got his start in the flooring industry by working with one of the “big box” home improvement stores. This was a fortunate event because he was able to learn a great deal about the industry and product due to the high volume environment the job provided. However, it was the volume that made him realize that he would never be able to give the individual attention to each customer that they deserved. This lead to him seeking a smaller operation where he could provide a personalized experience to his customers.
During his time working with Lift Flooring Studio he built many strong relationships throughout the Vail Valley. He has earned the trust of many Property Managers, Contractors and Designers. In late 2017 Kirk chose to move on from his position with Lift and he formed a partnership with the Network Interiors Group. Being part of Network Interiors gives Eagle County the sampling and buying power of a 6000 square foot showroom. Because Kirk works independently this opportunity also gives him the flexibility to offer in-home consultation. This was the personalized experience that he sought earlier in his career and he enjoys the opportunity to work one-on-one with each customer helping them to select the right materials for the project at a fair price.
What does Eagle County Flooring Offer?
Eagle County Flooring offers materials and installation for carpet, tile, stone, vinyl, hardwood flooring (both solid and engineered), laminate flooring, counter tops and window coverings. Kirk is usually available 7 days a week to do in-home consultations in Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum, Minturn and Red Cliff. His installers are insured and most have been established in Eagle County for a decade or longer.
Kirk is well versed in both residential and commercial product offerings. So whether you are looking to carpet a second bedroom in Edwards or you manage an HOA and you need to replace the tile in all of the common areas of an apartment complex Eagle County Flooring can help. Some of his past commercial clients include Vail Resorts, Colorado Mountain College, The Mountain Haus and The Landmark just to name a few.
Kirk provides both consultation and project management on every job. With over 10 years of product knowledge in the flooring industry he will help you select the material that is perfect for your home. Once the flooring has been ordered Kirk will continue to work with the client and his installation crews to ensure that the product is installed correctly to protect the customer’s warranty and that schedules are maintained.
Why should someone choose Eagle County Flooring over our competitors?
Customer’s choose Eagle County Flooring for many reasons but above all it is Kirk’s experience and the in-home consultations that really separates him from his competitors. Kirk prides himself in product knowledge. So whether he is working to find a commercial client the right mix of density and face-weight for their carpet installation or he is taking the time to explain the struggles some wood flooring products have in our region he is always teaching as well as taking the time to learn for himself why something works or why it doesn’t.
Kirk offers in-home consultation 7 days a week and is happy to work off-hours if needed to match his clients’ busy schedules. He knows that this availability not only helps with second home owners, who are here to enjoy their vacations, but it also assists the busy local who is working long hours to provide an excellent experience for our visitors.
Kirk’s relationship with Network Interiors is also a powerful tool. Network Interiors Group has been in business for over 13 years servicing the west end of Eagle County, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Basalt, Carbondale and Aspen. Because they don’t operate as part of buying group they are not held to Manufacture Suggested Retail Pricing meaning that Kirk is able to offer a deeper discount than most of his competitors. Their 6000sf showroom in Glenwood Springs is full of samples ensuring that we will always be able to find something for every customer. As Network Interiors continues to grow Kirk will continue to have more flexibility in pricing and an even greater selection of products to offer his clients.
